Fab Cafe wanted a site that really showed off their Sixties TV Theme bars in the centre of Manchester and Leeds. Their brief was 'we would like a light switch you have to turn on and an old TV that you have to click to make work with the website onscreen.'

We came up with the idea of having characters from TV and movies actually hosting each section of the site. Originally we thought of putting them in their own TV or film setting but then thought it would be a great way to show off the clubs if the they were stood actually in the clubs relaxing.
A designer hand drew the characters and we had photo shoots in both Manchester and Leeds and here’s the result (if you don’t have broadband it may take a while to come up....We pointed this out to the fab guys and their response was.... 'Its a broadband site....It's their fault if they have modems'.)
